This Jacket is PERFECT! It is my favorite Jacket (and I own a lot of them) - Eddie Bauer, Mountain Hardware, North Face, Columbia, and Obermeyer. I am 150#, 5'6" athletic build, 36 chest and I ordered a medium which was perfect fit. It's a very soft coat, so no stiffness, plenty of shoulder and hip room to move around, plenty of length to CYA and made so that cold drafts don't find anywhere to get in. I love the collar, it's high enough to cover the full neck, but wide enough to not feel like its tight around the neck. I'll actually tip my chin in and blow to heat it up during super cold winter days during long walks. Lots of pockets too! They put a little bottle opener in the chest pocket attached to the jacket. If any of you have ordered from Moosejaw before, you know they have an awesome sense of humor too. I'm never cold when wearing it and I am an outdoor walker in the frozen Michigan winters. Ladies, you'll understand when I mention that it has pockets! Tons of pockets! The quality is outstanding and after 3 years, my jacket still looks new.
This coat just arrived. I had been unsure of size based on reviews, size chart and even customer service. According to size chart I should have taken a large to have jacket I can use with other layers but customer service told me that is was made for curves. Other reviews were all over the place. I am 5'2" and 135lbs, athletic build and the medium is perfect. Coat is very comfortable and yet warm and not bulky. Just covers my bum and feels like a big fleece hug inside. Lot of pockets inside and out and the high neck is quite comfortable and not tight at all. I needed a winter jacket that could also get wet and this fits the bill. The dusk blue color is gorgeous and will go with everything (so sick of black and grey). This coat is a steal compared with the competition.
I don't live in an area that I need a jacket like this regularly. It was purchased for a snowboarding trip that was canceled due to COVID-19. But so far, I love the fit, the color, the pockets, the hidden surprises that aren't really surprises if you read the description and reviews. haha. It's a tad bit long for me, but there's enough room so it doesn't impair motion. I'm 5' 1" and 115 lbs and I purchased a small and there's enough room for me to layer underneath it. The only other thing was the powder skirt wasn't like my previous jacket. It's more of a drawstring set a little higher than the hem. Like I said, I haven't used it yet, but so far I love it.
Though we're having a mild winter where I live, this is a great jacket. I like the dusty blue color, the flattering fit, the warmth, the thoughtful details, and the hood - no big floppy thing to obscure my vision, instead something adequate to keep my head warm. Before my purchase, I read the description of all the features and still was delighted with the quality of this jacket and its thoughtful details. It provides amenities I would not have thought of on my own.

I'd actually rate it a no star. There is no correlation between the size chart and the measurements of the jacket. Jacket was way too small. No packing slip in the package; no confirmation email with an order number. Can't return it - COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY.
I want to send it back please toooo small. Perfect for young people.🤨
